And so today was the day I had lunch with the International Advisory Panel. It turned out that there were 5 tables, and each table had 1-2 professors and the rest were students. So it was a comfortable chat. My table had Jan from Sweden, and it was so coincidental that he mentioned my lab! (coz we do collaborations with Karolinska) So cool! ^_^ It was a really interesting chat with students of various backgrounds and scholarships coming together.. and sure did I gain a lot from the wise old man! Ah! And I met hongye from my junior class from hcjc! She was there too.. at another table. ^_^ (there was a camera crew around, but I bet the photos all showed me staring at my delicious lunch.. so I’d rather not publicize the glutton side of me. =P)
I realized today, that some students managed to attend the Nobel Laureate award ceremony.. sponsored by A*STAR! How cool is that? 3-week trip to Sweden! I also want!! I wonder if I will get the opportunity next year.. hmm..
